More Last Minute Rhetoric from Greg Kowalski. All Talk with NO ANSWERS!

In his last hours campaign push for 1st District Alderman, Greg Kowalski is making some statements he has no idea of how to fulfil nor does he have the power to fulfil “IF” he was elected to the Common Council. I received a copy of his flier from one of the residents of the 1st district and they have these questions to ask the 26-year-old sage.

Lets go through his statements one by one.

  • First Kowalski is claiming his opponent is Mudslinging.  - Is it mud-slinging if it’s the truth? Factual information to compare candidates positions are not mud-slinging. Aren’t candidates responsible for past actions and statements? Kowalski doesn’t think so!
  • Kowalski says he will Launch EDC initiatives - What kind of initiatives does he propose? Who will do the work? To whom would you launch? A part-time group of people that have only come up with a glossy brochures and have no expertise in economic development? Is he saying that current AlderVisor Steve Taylor (a supposed political endorser and member of the EDC) has done a poor job in EDC initiatives and needs Kowalski’s guidance?
  • Kowalski says he plans to restart discussions with the community and owners on the civic center - What would he talk about? Cost of the land? Sidewalks? Remember Kowalski was part of this group that raised money for a Civic Center that never happened! Would anyone listen to someone with Kowalski’s credentials?
  • Work on solutions for pedestrian safety on Puetz – Kowalski never states how he plans to pay for it? Will he be doing the “work” himself? Does he plan to do it twice? Once now and once when the street gets rebuilt?
  • Work on reconstruction of Hwy 100 and 76th st.  – First off, these are Milwaukee County projects. Aren’t these already designed and scheduled?  What would Kowalski do to change the plans and design?
  • Kowalski says he plans to connect 76th and Rawson to the Rock Sports Center - Another grandiose plan by Greg Kowalski!  What is he going to do to connect it?  Fly helicopters? Build Bridges? Who will pay for it in the end?

Greg Kowalski is following in the footsteps of his favorite liberal AlderVisor Steve (don’t cut my salary so I will actually have to work) Taylor who will tell voters anything they want to hear and then doesn’t do a thing when elected. Kowalski and Taylor are your typical liberal Democratic candidates. The only difference is Taylor is known as a REPUBLICAN IN NAME ONLY.

AlderVisor Steve Taylor Gets Blasted by a Franklin Resident

An anti-Meijers stores resident recently blasted AlderVisor Steve (is this common council meeting over yet?) Taylor at Tuesdays Common Council meeting for his snide remarks at the previous Common Council meeting two weeks before.  James Lajsic, 8756 W. Mallard Ct. has retained Milwaukee Attorney Joe Cincotta, and admonished Taylor for implying that his attorney (Cincotta) is an “AMBULANCE CHASER“. The AlderVisor’s statements were referring to the fact that Attorney Cincotta had also been retained by Jack and Michelle Corrao of Grafton (another proposed location) and therefore the attorney was shopping dissatisfied residents of those city’s. The Grafton Common Council did recently approve the Grafton store plans as another new location sought by Meijers.

Please listen to the tongue lashing that Taylor gets from James Lajsic who has been attending all the City Council meetings trying to derail the Meijers proposed store in Franklin.

My observation of Steve Taylor is that he is bored with Franklin politics and if a resident is not a “voting constituent” of Taylor, he does not give a rip about them or their opinions. Taylor is known to show anger with anyone who he disagrees with or who oppose him. His words often filled with sarcastic anger, especially if it is an issue that appears to “waste’ his precious time.

With a little investigation however Wag the Dog has found that James Lajsic, is a retired union member of the Miller Brewery who signed the papers to recall Scott Walker. He has brought up inane questions of the council about “what kind of jobs is Meijers going to provide?” I am sure it is not the cushy pay and benefits he is use to from working a union Miller Brewery job. But then again, with this economy, a job such as one that is offered at Meijers may keep someone off of needing welfare or that extra layer needed to pay the high taxes we experience here in Franklin. Not to mention, opportunities for our young people to get their first job.

Bottom line is again, here is a case of AlderVisor Steve Taylor being bored with the issues he faces here as an Alderman in Franklin versus his oh so important job as a Milwaukee County Supervisor. Maybe now is the time to quit Steve!

Lajsic, on the other hand is just laughable!

Who are you going to trust with your money? Not Steve Taylor!

Consider this … Notorious Big Spender, Steve F. Taylor of Franklin, candidate for 9th District County Supervisor seat is bragging to who ever will listen that he spent $20,000 for all his big signs and brochures for his 1,996 total votes which only assures him a chance to run in the April election.  That comes out to about $10 a vote for Steve. Steve was the first to come out with his signs back in January if you remember that far back. He started working on his campaign back in the summer of 2011. Since then he has taken on local developer Jim OMaley as his campaign chair attempting to raise even more money for a job that pays $50,000 a year as a  County Supervisor. On top of that, I have been told that not one of his fellow Alderman or the Mayor have contributed to his campaign. In fact, I have also been told that Mayor donated his money to another candidate.

Now lets look at the top opposition vote getting winner, Alderman Ken Gehl of Oak Creek who also one a place on the April ballot with 1,238  votes. Ken started his campaign about two weeks ago with several small signs and a mailer (which I received). It looks like Ken spent in the area of close to $1000 for the primary. That comes out to under a buck a vote.

Hmmmm, who spent the money more wisely?

Which one of these candidates has more respect for spending hard earned money?

Which of these two candidates is more respected in their communities?

If you look at the political history of the two candidates, and I know you will over the next few weeks. I think you will see that Ken Gehl will be the one you will be casting your vote for come April.

I know I will and so will my family and friends.

Franklin’s Alderman Steve Taylor blog on Moving Forward

Franklin’s Village Idiot Alderman Steve Taylor can’t keep from spewing his anger toward any and all who refuse to believe he is the second coming of our Saviour.

In a recent blog he wrote explaining his pathetic exes for slashing our Police and Fire department budgets while keeping our city inspection department, planning department, health department, DPW and Library at full staffing (even a move our own Mayor disagrees with).

Our paranoid Alderman Taylor says:

In politics having thick skin is a must. So, it doesn’t bother me that my usual critics have called me a villain, a shyster or sleazy. These are the same people who constantly criticize without offering any solutions. But, what bothers me is that these same people continually mislead the public in order to push their own political agenda or the agenda of others.

In his own words he continues on:

That is why I refuse to play political games like one of my colleagues (more to
come on future blog). I won’t take a position merely for political popularity
when I know it will cost you more money in the end after I am no longer serving
you and able to be held accountable.

I ran for re-election on my record during my first three years in office and the
results were pretty good. Therefore, I will continue to conduct myself in the
same manner I always have.

This is how our common council president plays politics. More of what comes of tonights meeting will be available on this blog.  I look forward like many of you to the day the 4th district is represented by someone who is not an embarrassment to this city like Alderman Taylor is.

Please feel free to read the Alderman’s blog on FranklinNOW and do read what some of his constituents have to say about him and his rants! Oh but they don’t count, just the good ones about him!

Common Council Dodges the Bullet for Now

….. So to speak. I am of course referring to the Concealed Carry Ordinance, Mayor Taylor proposed at the October 18th meeting of the Common Council which he did not attend.

None of the Aldermen in attendance committed to both parts of the ordinance that would have in one part make the carrying of a concealed weapon a ticketable offense vs a forfeiture crime. A forfeiture crime would require a civil lawsuit instead of allowing law enforcement being able to ticket someone breaking the new law.

The second part would of made City Hall, the Library and other city buildings a posted area that would prohibit a permit holder to carry their weapon in the specified city buildings.

Please enjoy the five parts (it took over 40 minutes) of the Common Council discussing the proposed Mayor Tom Taylor ordinance. Please also note, that even Chief Oliva is not really on board with the Mayor’s Ordinance to push to prohibit, concealed carry permit holders from being able to carry in the city buildings.

The Franklin Common Council Committee of the Whole is scheduled to take this ordinance up again on October 31st and vote on it on November 1st Common Council meeting.

As Predicted

Even the Mayor had to step in to break up the fight that you will hear this at the end of the sound clip. You may have to turn up your volume as their are issues with the audio from the City of Franklin’s Website. Alderman Steve Taylor and his anger manangement issues are the highlight of Franklin politics again. The Common Council spent almost a half hour arguing about the how, what and who is excused from a Common Council meeting and then tabled it. This is the THIRD time they have spent time over this subject. They are almost as disfunctional as the President of Franklin Public School Board.

Contact Mayor Taylor and tell him that “Yes you as a tax payer do not tollerate this kind of behavior from our Council President”.

His email address is: tom2563@att.net

or

call him and leave a message at: 427-7529.

Alderman Ken Skowronski IS Capable of Kindergarten Politics

……. and he showed that he is at the August 16th Common Council meeting.

During the attendance being taken by City Clerk Sandy Wesolowski,  Sandy stated the Alderman Steve Olson had contacted her and that Alderman Olson would not be able to attend the Tuesday meeting.  Sandy had also forwarded the e-mail on to the Mayor.

Alderman Ken Skowronski in a kindergarten style tantrum demanded, for what reason and refused to let the issue lie. The Mayor said it was up to the council to excuse Olson so Alderwoman Wilhelm said as far as she is concerned, he is excused. Still not good enough for Skowronski he continued to pursue it. Of course Alderman Steve Taylor could not keep quiet and just had to say ” at least it is better than what he did the last time”.

Here are the emails that were sent afterwards, with Sandy Wesolowski explaining to council members that for security reasons, she does not publicly state if a Council member “is out of town”—for security reasons (That usually means your house is empty or someone else is home alone…). Sandy further states she does this to protect the Alderman’s residents and their spouse while they may be out of town for the meeting.

You may remember some years ago that former Mayor Fred Klimetz received threatening phone calls at his home from a Franklin city resident while he was away.

Here is the letter from City Clerk Sandy Wesolowski to the Mayor and Alderman after the August 16th council meeting:

In answer to Ald. Skowronski’s questions at the 8/16/11 meeting as to WHERE Ald. Olson was, he did inform me last week that he will be out of town (as you can see from the first email on this chain).  As my own practice that I have always tried to follow in the past, at a public meeting, I usually do not like to state when someone “is out of town”—for security reasons.  (That usually means your house is empty or someone else is home alone…)

Any questions or comments, please let me know (do not reply to all).

Sandi

Here is the response from Alderman Steve Olson after it came to his attention:

Subject: RE: Council Meeting, 8/16/11

Ladies and Gentlemen:

After I received this e-mail I made it a point to listen to the recording of last evening’s meeting.

I can only assume that Ald. Skowronski’s inquiry of WHY I was not in attendance was in heartfelt concern for my well being and an abundance of worry.  To believe in any other motivation would mean that the question came from arrogance, anger, a need to pick a fight or some other nefarious reason.

Let me be clear (again).  I do NOT report to any of you.  Not the mayor, not the council president or any other alderman.  My reasons for not being at the meeting are mine and mine alone.  No one has the privilege of asking WHY I was not at the meeting unless they are a resident of the 1st Aldermanic District.  The fact that I chose to let the Director of Clerk Services know that I would not be in attendance was and is a courtesy, extended out of respect for the body.

Let me also be clear.  There is no ordinance in place that gives permission or assigns the duty of “excusing” anyone on any board or commission or the council from anything.  To think that a peer would have such authority shows just how self important our Council has gotten.

Ald. Olson

Steve Taylor doesn’t know the difference between a Sword and a Tiger

Posted in FranklinNOW our illustrious 4th District Alderman Steven F. Taylor who consistently reminds us of all the community athletic competitions he says attends yet does not know how to spell our high school mascot. We can be proud to admit that Taylor was not educated in Franklin.

Steve Taylor - Educated in Muskego!

Bad Behavior

With the last Common Council meeting landing on the day after the 4th of July, I was unable to attend this meeting on July 5th. I was unable to bring you a video of Mayor Taylor, Common Council President Steve Taylor, Alderman Steve Olson and Alderwoman Kristen Wilhelm “discussing” the difference between an “excused absence” and an “absence” for the June 21st Common Council Meeting.

In its place I have brought you the audio portion of the Common Council meeting with the discussion of the Council meeting minutes along with still pictures of those speaking (sorry, it’s the best I could do). You can find it on the WAG THE DOG VIDEO on YouTube and here on this posting below.

I can only imagine what Attorney Lynda Templen who was representing her client Steele Solutions Properties in a request for IDRB funding by the City of Franklin to expand their facility in the 9900 block of South 57th Street though as she spoke to the Council right after this “discussion”.

Mayor Taylor has whined over and over again how Franklin bloggers are ruining the reputation of the City of Franklin. Both he and Alderman Steve Taylor have blamed bloggers for the lack of economic development in the City of Franklin, yet this juvenile behavior must speak volumes on how this city is being run and by whom. How do you think Attorney Templen will portray, the Mayor when she goes back to her clients and her law firm, Whyte, Hirshboeck, & Dudek.

Please feel free to call and let him know how you feel. The Mayors numbers is 427-7529 or contact him by e-mail at tom2563@att.net.
