Traylor left FaceBook. As I eluded to before, he just does not have the brains to know how to make it private. This coming from a man who needs to make decisions about technology. As I said, by leaving those derogatory remarks about his fellow board members. He has left himself open for censure on the board. In addition, does anything ever "go away" on FaceBook. Not only do many people that became aware of his postings have made screen prints but FaceBook keeps records like this for years to come.

In addition the remarks by Debra Larson on her own FaceBook page in support of the Anti-Walker candidates and on Traylor's former page will speak volumes in the upcoming April 2013 elections.

It appears that Steve Taylor’s abstention cost Skowronski his reappointment. I think Taylor’s “vote was payback for Skowronski’s remarks during the debate concerning Taylor holding two elected posts—his common council seat and his Milwaukee County Supervisor’s post.

“When you are representing three faces of government and you representing three government bodies in a county wide item….the city Attorney says its legal but there is more than a legal item here. There is a morale or morality issue on who are you going to represent, TRULY REPRESENT in issues that could be contentious, could make a difference on financial items, could make a difference on items that have been kind of laying dormant that has to be done. I have a very uncomfortable about that. You can’t be a master to three communities and three government bodies and three government positions. I will leave it at that and will reserve my judgment.”

What a shame it is that Traylor has these people convinced that he is the victim. I too have witnessed his BULLY BOY behavior toward Ms. Evans and Ms. Witkowski, this man (and I use the term loosely) has made some pretty degrading comments to them both during board evaluations and at meetings. The video you have attached has Traylor saying he doesn't even know what fiscal responsiblity is. I wonder if that that comes from just taking wood shop classes in High School?

I pray that he will not run again, but if he does, I hope you bring this information forward to let voters know about how "Christian" he really is.

Sounds like he and Deb Larson are whining about having "their" school board toys taken away. Whaaa!

I heard Weber this morning. If Jeff is miscategorized by the bloggers, maybe it's because he couldn't vote against any of the liberal big spending ideas that came before the board. He seemed to always be in lock step with Deb Larson's vote.

A few SB meetings I attended, I got to see first hand how he and Deb Larson spoke down to Janet Evans and even belittled comments she made during discussions.

I guess when you want to act like a spoiled toddler, it's easy to forget those sorts of details.

Good Job, Bryan! I heard Jay Weber talk about your blog on Monday. Today, he said that Jeff Traylor called him to complain that certain Franklin bloggers have caused him to be mis-categorized as a big spending liberal.

Keep up the great work shining the light of transparency on Franklin politics!

Fred,

I could not agree with you more. But I guess until Steve Taylor was assured of both positions and incomes, the council chose not to acknowledge the Elephant in the room.

My favorite quote from this whole inane affair came from the Mayor himself when after giving reason after reason why he thought "Super Steve" should give up his seat on the council he finally says "I guess your now Second Chair on the County Board or Third Chair and will be appointed to many committees. I would offer my services to him if I can, I do have some experience down there."

Really Mayor Taylor! ... You mean you have experience of manipulating and screwing up the pension benefits DOWN THERE! Great, that is just what Milwaukee County needs.

One good thing comes out of this all. If Steve Taylor is spending all his days at the court house with his staff and his "Boy Toy Assistant" .... He isn't spending them at Franklin City Hall.

I don’t care what the mayor thinks either, but this is entire "episode" is typical of this Council, why wasn’t this issue put to rest when Alderman Taylor announced his candidacy for county supervisor? If it had, we could have avoided this waste of time now, but this whole thing demonstrates the shortsightedness of the Council. If this was taken prior to Taylor declaring himself, I’d like to know.

Although there are some valid concerns raised by some on the Council, I get the impression that no one wants to upset Steve Taylor’s “apple cart” in the event they may need his vote (County or City business) in the future, and I imagine it will remain that way as long as Taylor holds both positions. Why does everything with this Council have to be so “difficult?”

The City Attorney was asked for a legal opinion; he gave it, so live with it, or don’t ask the question next time. Seems like common sense to me.

From my perspective, there are much more important issues the Council should be dealing with.

And Bryan, I think 'Aldervisor" Taylor would prefer to be addressed as “Superman" Taylor.
